The armillary sun dial
dates back to the 3rd century BC,
when the ancient Greeks developed the armillary sphere as an astronomical
tool to determine the positions of the sun and stars. These stunning
armillary sundials are sure to be the centerpiece of any garden or astronomy
collection.
Solid brass construction and classical styling. When pointed north, the celestial arrow casts a shadow over the Roman numeral timeline, indicating the approximate time of day.
